Miami University students who are ranked in the top twenty percent of undergraduate students within each division for second semester 2016-17 have been named to the dean's list recognizing academic excellence.

The University of Alabama awarded approximately 5,000 degrees during spring commencement May 5-7. The National Alumni Association of The University of Alabama recognizes and honors one male and one female in the senior class to receive the Alumni Student Award. The association also recognizes and honors students in the senior class. The students have excelled in academics and extracurricular activities, shown strength of character and maturity, and displayed exceptional hospitality.

University of Alabama student Chris Lancaster has received the 2017 Morris L. Mayer Award. The award is for one member of this academic year's graduating class and one member of the teaching faculty who exemplify the life of Dr. Morris L. Mayer: selfless and significant service and leadership for the UA community and significant contributions to student life and integrity. The Mayer Award is part of UA's Premier Awards - the top individual honors for scholarship, leadership and service.

Degree-seeking undergraduate students are eligible for Dean's List if their term GPA is greater than or equal to 3.400; they do not have any grades of "Incomplete", "D" or "F"; and they have registered for, and completed, at least 12 credit hours.

A total of 11,758 students enrolled during the 2016 fall semester at The University of Alabama were named to the Dean's List with an academic record of 3.5 (or above) or the President's List with an academic record of 4.0 (all A's). The UA Dean's and President's lists recognize full-time undergraduate students. The lists do not apply to graduate students or undergraduate students who take less than a full course load.

Husson University is pleased to share their Fall 2016 Honors List. Students who earn Honors List recognition must carry at least 12 graded credit hours during the semester and earn a grade point average of between 3.4 to 3.59 during the period.

Nearly 250 University of Dallas students were named to the Honor Roll for earning a semester GPA of 3.0-3.49.

More than 1,000 graduates were recognized at SUNY Oneonta's 127th commencement on May 14, 2016. Students who completed the requirements for bachelor's degrees, master's degrees and certificates of advanced study participated in three main ceremonies in the Dewar Arena of the Alumni Field House. Broadway producer Hal Luftig (1979) and set designer Neil Mazzella (1973) addressed the graduates and received honorary doctorates.

The following students achieved the Dean's List at Belmont University for the spring 2016 semester. Eligibility is based on a minimum course load of 12 hours and a quality grade point average of 3.5 with no grade below a C.

The Dean's Award for academic excellence is awarded to students with a 3.30 or higher term average.
